Depending on how you use LateCheckout, we may collect:

• Account and authentication data: email address, password credentials, sign-in provider data (including Sign in with Apple), and verification status.
• Profile and social data: username, display name, bio, profile avatar, profile links, follow relationships, block relationships, and safety reports.
• User-generated content: CityMaps, places, tags, notes, and place images you upload.
• Location data: your device location (when you allow it) to show relevant city context and map experiences.
• Booking and email data: booking details extracted from confirmation emails you forward (for example hotel name, dates, confirmation number, room details, and sender email metadata).
• Purchases and subscription data: in-app purchase product IDs, transaction identifiers, purchase status, and subscription status. We do not receive your full payment card number.
• Chat and support content: messages you send in hotel chat features and communications with support.
• Technical and usage data: device/app information, diagnostics, and service logs needed to operate and secure the product.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve LateCheckout features.
• Create and manage your account and profile.
• Enable social features (following, profile sharing, and map discovery).
• Process report/block safety actions and moderation flows.
• Process forwarded booking emails and organize stay information.
• Provide chat and AI-assisted experiences connected to your stays.
• Process in-app purchases, validate transactions, and restore eligible purchases.
• Respond to support requests and operational notices.
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with:

• Other users: your public profile content and map content that you make available in product experiences.
• Service providers: infrastructure, storage, authentication, AI processing, email, analytics, and customer support providers acting on our behalf.
• Platform providers: Apple for App Store purchases, subscription management, and Sign in with Apple.
• Legal/compliance recipients: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.

4. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can request account deletion in-app, and we will delete or de-identify data as required by applicable law, subject to required retention exceptions.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and update your profile data in-app.
• Delete your account in app settings.
• Manage location permission through iOS Settings at any time.
• Use report and block controls for safety.
• Manage subscriptions via your Apple ID and restore eligible purchases in-app.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No security method is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

LateCheckout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page.
